Depends on #4464; layer 5/5 of draft Stack #4466.

Verify source-only Rust/C++ plus ordinary and isolated Python packages together from an installed non-editable DimOS host wheel, outside the repository. All examples use unified tool.dimos metadata. The test denies compilers during discovery, runs selected native targets in the cache, confirms real typed messaging and conflicting host/child Python dependency versions, then repeats to verify native and isolated-environment reuse. Installed source trees stay unchanged; shutdown and uninstall preserve user reports and reusable caches.

Validation on Linux x86_64/Python 3.12:

  • The single canonical native example passed five compiler-blocked install/runtime cases (source, wheel, sdist, editable and host wheel) in 22.87s. No alternative install-time compilation example remains.
  • Full four-mode installed-host acceptance passed in 69.31s, including cold native preparation, second-run artifact mtime reuse and uninstall; that runtime is unchanged by the example consolidation.
  • Separate installed Rust/C++ SDK typed exchange: passed in 64.91s.
  • Provider distribution tests: 11 passed (compiler-denied wheel/sdist/editable and isolated builds with a local unpublished provider wheel).
  • Focused cache/discovery/isolated-runtime/branding regressions after the source-workspace refactor: 73 passed. Strict mypy on the three affected runtime source files and applicable repository hooks passed. The builder has one shared _maybe_build(self) call; source edits and failed builds preserve incremental outputs while invalidating stale executables.

Native dependency inputs were provisioned in the task workspace at pinned revisions, using ordinary Cargo/CMake overrides; no system installation was needed. The provider and matching host APIs are not published. This does not promise arbitrary override enforcement, portable native binaries, native RPC or new registry infrastructure. Keeps the existing single Linux/Python acceptance leg.
