What this feature does

Readers can uninstall the Warp Agent CLI without removing the Warp app, open Warp Drive objects via warp://drive deep links, and tell where third-party CLI agents appear versus Warp Agent conversations. Also clarifies URI scheme limits, notebook open/import behavior, and that the UI is English-only.

Summary

Fills high-signal documentation gaps from Kapa Docs Bot coverage and top-question clusters (Sept 2026 and earlier uncertain threads). Updates existing pages only—no new routes or sidebar entries.

Source signal: Kapa MCP Docs Bot project (7c2b9650-9197-4f55-b827-6856480fa1e1), monthly/weekly coverage and top-question periods.

Changes

src/content/docs/support-and-community/troubleshooting-and-support/logging-out-and-uninstalling.mdx

  • Added Uninstalling the Warp Agent CLI for install-script (macOS/Linux/Windows), Homebrew, and optional local data paths verified against the public install scripts

src/content/docs/agents/cli/quickstart.mdx and src/content/docs/agents/cli/index.mdx

  • Linked uninstall steps from the CLI overview and quickstart

src/content/docs/terminal/settings/file-locations.mdx

  • Documented default Warp Agent CLI install roots per platform

src/content/docs/terminal/more-features/uri-scheme.mdx

  • Documented warp://drive/<object_type>?id=<id> for notebook, workflow, folder, and env-vars
  • Explicitly stated the URI scheme does not run commands, wait for input, or control existing panes

src/content/docs/agents/cli-agents/overview.mdx and claude-code.mdx

  • Clarified that third-party CLI agents do not appear in the Conversation Panel or Agent Management Panel

src/content/docs/knowledge-and-collaboration/warp-drive/notebooks.mdx

  • Added open-via-panel / Command Palette / deep link guidance
  • Documented Markdown import behavior for shell vs other fenced blocks

src/content/docs/support-and-community/troubleshooting-and-support/known-issues.mdx

  • Replaced stale English-only note with a clear no-language-setting statement

Content design plan

Audience and JTBD: Users who already hit Warp Docs Bot or support with uninstall, deep-link, panel, notebook, or language questions and need a definitive docs answer.

Problem: Kapa returned incomplete or empty answers on Agent CLI uninstall, notebook deep links, URI command execution, Claude Code panel visibility, and UI language—because those facts were missing or under-specified on owning pages.

Goals:

  • A reader can remove the Warp Agent CLI without uninstalling the desktop app.
  • A reader can open a Drive notebook from a link and know URI scheme limits.
  • A reader understands why Claude Code is missing from the Conversation Panel.

Purpose and value: Reduces repeated Docs Bot / support thrash on questions that already have a product answer but no canonical docs home.

Content type: Feature documentation updates on existing pages (combined conceptual + procedural sections).

Skill and template: Direct gap fill from Kapa MCP + product source verification; no new page templates.

High-impact scenarios:

  • Covers: Agent CLI uninstall paths, Drive URI open, URI non-goals, CLI agent panel visibility, notebook open/import, English-only UI.
  • Excludes: Product features that do not exist yet (account switcher, external agent state API, Eternal Terminal-style SSH persistence).

Unverified claims

  • Notebook Markdown import support for tables and nested lists — stated as "when the editor supports them"; full matrix not exhaustively retested in this environment.
  • Exact Windows PATH entry filename(s) under %LOCALAPPDATA%\\Warp\\bin\\ — documented as warp* cleanup because the public PowerShell installer delegates naming to the signed installer payload.

Documentation risk

Risk: low
Rationale: Updates existing pages only with product-verified uninstall paths, URI scheme behavior, and panel visibility; no new pages or unverified feature claims.
Docs override: none

Additional context

  • Verified Agent CLI install roots against https://app.warp.dev/download/agent-cli and .ps1
  • Verified Drive object type path segments against ObjectType FromStr/Display in warp client (notebook, workflow, folder, env-vars)
  • Verified warp://drive/{object_type}?id= parsing in app/src/uri/mod.rs

Co-Authored-By: Warp agent@warp.dev

Add Warp Agent CLI uninstall steps, Drive deep links and URI limits,
third-party CLI agent panel visibility, notebook open/import details,
and a clearer English-only UI note from Docs Bot coverage signal.

Overview

This PR fills several docs gaps around Warp Agent CLI uninstall paths, Warp Drive deep links, CLI agent panel visibility, notebooks, and language support. The content is broadly in the right areas, but the review found one unsafe uninstall command and one PR-contract issue that need changes before merge.

Concerns

  • The Windows cleanup command deletes every warp* entry in the selected bin directory, which can remove other channels or unrelated local launchers instead of only the CLI entry being documented.
  • The PR declares Documentation risk as low, but the diff changes commands, install paths, URI behavior, UI-surface behavior, platform paths, and product-support claims. Under the docs quality policy, this requires engineering-review-required with source files and engineering-review metadata or a docs override.

Security

No separate security findings were found in code or configuration; the destructive cleanup command is tracked as a documentation correctness/safety issue.

⚠️ [IMPORTANT] This wildcard can remove other Warp CLI channels or unrelated warp* launchers from the selected bin directory; document the exact launcher names to remove or constrain the cleanup to the stable CLI entry.
