PR #120: googleapis 186 requires Node ≥22. Every workflow here runs Node 20. Recommend closing until the workflows move to Node 22.
- Package:
googleapis142.0.0 → 186.0.0, production (scripts/update-pr-spreadsheet.js) - Semver risk: major (44 majors)
- Breaking changes:
engines.nodeis>=22.0.0from 178.1.1. The per-API breaking changes don't touchsheets. The Sheets calls used here work unchanged. - Security fixes: none
- CI: failing.
yarn install --frozen-lockfilerejects Node 20.20.2 (run).
Once the setup-node steps move to Node 22, this bump looks safe to land.

blocking: Every workflow that installs dependencies fails, because 186.0.0 requires Node ≥22. The workflows pin node-version: '20' (e.g. pre-commit.yml:20, test.yml:18, update-pr-spreadsheet.yml:34).
error googleapis@186.0.0: The engine "node" is incompatible with this module. Expected version ">=22.0.0". Got "20.20.2"
- Move the workflows to Node 22, then redo this bump.
- If Node 20 must stay for now: cap at
^178.0.0(the last version on>=18). Add a dependabotignoreforgoogleapis>=178.1.1.
