Compare selected outputs independently of pointer order
When the 50-of-100 randomness check compares two multi-input results, GetInputSet() is now a std::set<std::shared_ptr<COutput>>, whose iteration order follows pointer ownership/address rather than COutput::outpoint; this pairwise std::mismatch can therefore say that two identical selections differ merely because each GroupCoins() call allocated fresh objects, allowing a deterministic coin-selection regression to pass the test. Compare sorted outpoints (and sizes) instead.

This EqualResult is the same as upstream's after bitcoin#25806 (the same std::mismatch over GetInputSet(), comparing outpoints). The backport matches upstream, so any change to how the test compares results belongs upstream, not in this backport.

Reset the ckey records before the invalid-pubkey case
In the fourth case, records is reused after the third case leaves records[ckey_record_key] with an all-zero invalid checksum, so adding the invalid-pubkey record here makes the subsequent LoadWallet() return CORRUPT even if invalid public keys are no longer rejected. Restore the original ckey record or start from a fresh map before this insertion so this case observes the claimed invalid-pubkey behavior.

The fourth test case in walletload_tests.cpp is the same as upstream bitcoin#26715, including reusing records after the third case. The backport matches upstream, and we don't restructure upstream tests in a backport.

WalkthroughWallet coin selection now groups outputs by eligibility filter, script, and output type. Selected outputs use shared pointers, and automatic selection precomputes groups for its filters. The changes add a record-backed mockable wallet database and wallet test helpers. Wallet tests, Qt tests, and benchmarks adopt these utilities. New tests cover output grouping, and a new fuzz target exercises wallet fee functions. Priority: ➖ Normal Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~45 minutes Sequence Diagram(s)sequenceDiagram

Final validation — Phase 1 + Phase 2
Static verification of the six-commit backport range at 623900b found no actionable in-scope issues. The inspected changes preserve InstantSend eligibility and CoinJoin-specific selection behavior, migrate Dash test databases consistently, and register the added tests and fuzz target. No local builds or tests were run; the supplied CI snapshot shows passing lint and Linux, SQLite, fuzz, macOS, and Windows builds, with both test jobs and several additional build configurations still pending.

The only test reported as failed is feature_llmq_simplepose.py, which timed out after 240 s waiting for a masternode's peers to disconnect during a PoSe ban test. This branch only touches wallet coin selection, the wallet test database, the fees fuzz target and benchmarks, none of which is masternode peer-connection code. It looks like a flake: in the same run the --disable-spork23 variant and feature_llmq_connections.py each failed once and then passed on retry, and the wallet tests that ran passed, so please rerun. 🤖 backportsys, on behalf of the Dash backport pipeline. |

Deduplicate filters before populating grouped outputs
When getPackageLimits() returns 6 for both counts and zero-conf spending is enabled, AutomaticCoinSelection emits the same CoinEligibilityFilter(0,1,2,2) twice (the fixed {0,1,2} round and the following min(4, limit/3) round). With avoid-partial-spends off, this loop pushes every eligible group twice into the same map value; the copies share their COutput, so knapsack can select both aliases and SelectionResult::InsertInputs throws Shared UTXOs among selection results instead of creating a transaction from unconfirmed change. Deduplicate filter keys before grouping; the avoid-partial-spends loop has the same issue.

This matches upstream: bitcoin#25806's GroupOutputs pushes each eligible group once per filter with no deduplication, in both loops, exactly as here. The list of filters that can repeat was already in Dash from bitcoin#26661, before this branch. Changing it here would make the backport differ from upstream.

Re-review — Final validation — Phase 1 + Phase 2
Static verification of fe232f9..c8b3651 found no actionable backport-specific defects across the 32 changed files; Dash's InstantSend eligibility, CoinJoin constraints, transaction sizing, and input ordering remain preserved. The historical test-comparison, checksum-test isolation, and duplicate-filter concerns match the pinned upstream implementations and do not justify changes under this backport's review scope. Current CI has passing lint, formatting, and Linux, TSAN, no-wallet, ARM, macOS, and Windows builds; functional tests and the fuzz, SQLite, ASAN, and multiprocess builds remain pending or running, with no failed code check reported.

Out-of-scope follow-up suggestions (1)
These are valid observations, but they are outside this PR's scope and should be handled in separate issues or author/maintainer-requested PRs rather than blocking this review.
- Compare selected outputs independently of pointer order — The pointer-order concern describes upstream test behavior, not a Dash adaptation defect. The EqualResult implementation at src/wallet/test/coinselector_tests.cpp:119-125 matches Bitcoin commit 6a302d4, including std::mismatch over shared-pointer sets with an outpoint comparator; restructuring that comparison is outside this faithful backport's scope.
- Follow-up: Consider creating a separate issue or author/maintainer-requested PR for this.
Maintainer controlsTick a box; backportsys acts within a few minutes, then clears it. For other requests, leave a review comment.
Hands off persists after its box clears: no automated branch updates until operator release (not tracker Release hold). Close abandons the batch and releases its items. Adaptation and gatesHeavy: substantial adaptation; light: at most two invented lines (six counting functional-test/doc edits); faithful: identical to upstream apart from context. Mechanical checks compare upstream hunks, added lines and Dash-specific lines. Review warnings before merging.

Note: For clarity, it's recommended to start reviewing from the end result to understand the structure of the flow. #### GroupOutputs function rationale: If "Avoid Partial Spends" is enabled, the function gathers outputs with the same script together inside a container. So Coin Selection can treats them as if them were just one possible input and either select them all or not select them. #### How the Inputs Fetch + Selection process roughly works: ``` 1. Fetch user’s manually selected inputs. 2. Fetch wallet available coins (walks through the entire wallet txes map) and insert them into a set of vectors (each vector store outputs from a single type). 3. Coin Selection Process: Call `AttemptSelection` 8 times. Each of them expands the coin eligibility filter (accepting a larger subset of coins in the calculation) until it founds a solutions or completely fails if no solutions gets founds after the 8 rounds. Each `AttemptSelection` call performs the following actions: - For each output type supported by the wallet (P2SH, P2PK, P2WPKH, P2WSH and a combination of all of them): Call ‘ChooseSelectionResult’ providing the respective, filtered by type, coins vector. Which: I. Groups the outputs vector twice (one for positive only and a second one who includes the negative ones as well). - GroupOutputs walks-through the entire inputted coins vector one time at least, + more if we are avoiding partial spends, to generate a vector of OutputGroups. II. Then performs every coin selection algorithm using the recently created vector of OutputGroup: (1) BnB, (2) knapsack and (3) SRD. III. Then returns the best solution out of them. ``` We perform the general operation of gathering outputs, with the same script, into a single container inside: Each coins selection attempt (8 times —> each coin eligibility filter), for each of the outputs vector who were filtered by type (plus another one joining all the outputs as well if needed), twice (one for the positive only outputs effective value and a second one for all of them). So, in the worst case scenario where no solution is found after the 8 Coin Selection attempts, the `GroupOutputs` function is called 80 times (8 * 5 * 2). #### Improvements: This proposal streamlines the process so that the output groups, filtered by coin eligibility and type, are created in a single loop outside of the Coin Selection Process. The new process is as follows: ``` 1. Fetch user’s manually selected inputs. 2. Fetch wallet available coins. 3. Group outputs by each coin eligibility filter and each different output type found. 4. Coin Selection Process: Call AttemptSelection 8 times. Each of them expands the coin eligibility filter (accepting different output groups) until it founds a solutions or completely fails if no solutions gets founds after the 8 rounds. Each ‘AttemptSelection’ call performs the following actions: - For each output type supported by the wallet (P2SH, P2PK, P2WPKH, P2WSH and all of them): A. Call ‘ChooseSelectionResult’ providing the respective, filtered by type, output group. Which: I. Performs every coin selection algorithm using the provided vector of OutputGroup: (1) BnB, (2) knapsack and (3) SRD. II. Then returns the best solution out of them. ``` Extra Note: The next steps after this PR will be to: 1) Merge `AvailableCoins` and `GroupOutputs` processes. 2) Skip entire coin selection rounds if no new coins are added into the subsequent round. 3) Remove global feerates from the OutputGroup class. 4) Remove secondary "grouped" tx creation from `CreateTransactionInternal` by running Coin Selection results over the aps grouped outputs vs non-aps ones. The tests that use `DummyDatabase` just need a `WalletDatabase` so that the `CWallet` can be constructed, while the tests using the memory-only databases just need a backing data store. There is also a `FailDatabase` that is similar to `DummyDatabase` except it fails be default or can have a configured return value. Having all of these different database types can make it difficult to write tests, particularly tests that work when either BDB or SQLite is disabled. This PR unifies all of these different unit test database classes into a single `MockableDatabase`. Like `DummyDatabase`, most functions do nothing and just return true. Like `FailDatabase`, the return value of some functions can be configured on the fly to test various failure cases. Like the memory-only databases, records can actually be written to the `MockableDatabase` and be retrieved later, but all of this is still held in memory. Using `MockableDatabase` completely removes the need for having BDB or SQLite backed wallets in the unit tests for the tests that are not actually testing specific database behaviors. Because `MockableDatabase`s can be created by each unit test, we can also control what records are stored in the database. Records can be added and removed externally from the typical database modification functions. This will give us greater ability to test failure conditions, particularly those involving corrupted records. The first commit contains some things that end up being commonly used in new wallet benchmarks. These are moved into `wallet_common.{h/cpp}`. The second commit contains a bugfix for the wallet_balance benchmark where it calls `LoadWallet` in the wrong place. It's unnecessary to call that function in this benchmark. Although this does not cause any issues currently, it ends up causing issues in some PRs and branches that I'm working on. Upstream: wallet: group outputs only once, decouple it from Coin Selection bitcoin/bitcoin#25806 (merge 4ea3a8b). Dash commit: 68b1501.
Backports wallet: group outputs only once, decouple it from Coin Selection bitcoin/bitcoin#25806: outputs are now grouped once per eligibility filter into OutputGroupTypeMap/Groups, OutputGroup holds shared_ptr‹COutput›, and the group_outputs_tests suite is added. Dash adaptations: byte-based weight (no WITNESS_SCALE_FACTOR), the InstantSend-lock eligibility check, the wallet parameter kept for max-tx-fee knapsack, BnB/SRD still disabled, and LEGACY output types in tests.
Dash adaptations:
const CWallet& walletparameter because Dash's KnapsackSolver needs wallet.m_default_max_tx_feeIntroduce

MockableDatabasefor wallet unit tests bitcoin/bitcoin#26715, adding MockableDatabase/MockableBatch/MockableCursor for wallet unit tests, moving DummyDatabase into salvage.cpp and removing CreateDummyWalletDatabase, with Dash-only tests (coinjoin pending-observation retry, coin-lock failed-persist) moved from the removed FailDatabase/open-transaction tricks to GetMockableDatabase().m_pass. MSVC project hunks and segwit/taproot ismine_tests renames are omitted because Dash has no build_msvc and no segwit/taproot.Dash adaptations:

Upstream: walletdb: Remove unused CreateMockWalletDatabase bitcoin/bitcoin#27665 (merge b34e19a). Dash commit: 9853964.
Removes the now-unused CreateMockWalletDatabase from walletdb.cpp/h exactly as upstream does, and moves every remaining Dash-only caller (masternode/provider qt tests, platformkeys, wallet and walletdb tests) to the MockableDatabase-based CreateMockableWalletDatabase from wallet/test/util.h, as Introduce
MockableDatabasefor wallet unit tests bitcoin/bitcoin#26715 did for upstream's callers. No references to the removed function remain in the tree; test_dash builds, and the platformkeys_tests, wallet_tests and walletdb_tests suites pass; the qt test fwallet, bench: Move commonly used functions to their own file and fix a bug bitcoin/bitcoin#27666 — wallet, bench: Move commonly used functions to their own file and fix a bug.
Upstream: wallet, bench: Move commonly used functions to their own file and fix a bug bitcoin/bitcoin#27666 (merge 05ec664). Dash commit: d0a01a8.
Moves TestLoadWallet/TestUnloadWallet and the unspendable-address constant into wallet/test/util, makes the benchmarks use them inside namespace wallet, and applies upstream's bug fix (postInitProcess on test loads, no extra LoadWallet in the balance bench) with the updated AddToWallet counts. Dash adaptations: the base58 ADDRESS_B58T_UNSPENDABLE replaces the bech32 constant, and Dash's context-taking TestUnloadWallet, whose RemoveWallet call did nothing because test wallets are no longer added
