Before: /signals/ described the five transmissions without the resonance theory. The /script/ pages also drew grammar v7, where every line was one statement on a fixed 23-cell lattice and numbers stopped at 511.

After:

  • /signals/ explains the resonance theory behind the transmissions.
  • The /script/ explainer, dictionary and converter (Chinese and English) follow grammar v8. Spacing is structure: there is 1 empty cell inside a word, 2 between the words of a triplet and 4 between triplets. Triplets run left to right.
  • Numbers are COUNT followed by base-512 digits, for example COUNT.4.171 = 2219. You can also type COUNT.2219.
  • The converter has a choice of how many triplets go on each line. Its drawing grid is now free width, and it warns when a number's trailing 0 digit would vanish at the end of a line.

How: lib/glyph.js now ports glyph-cli 0.3.0 (InterImm/glyph-cli#5), and the vocabulary and test fixtures are regenerated from it. The new vocabulary redraws BEFORE and AFTER, which is still waiting on L's call. npm test passes (22 tests). I also checked all four pages in Chromium: there are no console errors, the year-2219 example reads back from its drawing, and the converter shows its warnings.

Adds a 'Speech that needs two' section to /signals/ (CN and EN) and a
short resonance-theory reading under each of the five transmissions.
Framed as a working theory held by listeners in the story, not a
decoding. Encodings and audio are unchanged.

The red checks (deploy/netlify, Pages changed, Header rules, Redirect rules) all come from the old Netlify site, interimm-interstellar. They aren't caused by this PR. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages from main now, and that leftover Netlify project fails on every PR (it did on #3 to #8 too). The only fix is to delete or disconnect that Netlify site, which needs Netlify account access. This PR only changes static copy and one CSS rule.

The old Netlify site still builds previews with its Hugo settings, which
fail since the Hugo config was removed in #3.

* Grid script: explainer, online dictionary and converter

New section /script/ (CN) and /script/en/ (EN):
- the idea: parts, words, lines as graph edges, numbers, voices, with live drawings
- dictionary: searchable in both languages, write any word to see how it draws and reads
- converter: page source to drawing (SVG, text, link) and drawing back to source, with a grid editor

lib/glyph.js ports glyph-cli 0.2.0 to JavaScript and uses its bundled vocabulary;
npm test checks it against fixtures generated by the CLI itself.

* Netlify: publish the static site as-is (same change as #9)

* Drop the netlify.toml port: the previews still fail with it, so it is not the fix

lib/glyph.js now ports glyph-cli 0.3.0: words are spaced 1/2/4 cells,
triplets run left to right, numbers are COUNT plus base-512 digits, and
decode reads the structure from the gaps. The explainer, converter and
dictionary pages describe and use the new rules; the converter gets a
triplets-per-line choice, a free-width drawing grid and a warning for
numbers whose trailing 0 digit would vanish at a line end. Vocabulary
and fixtures regenerated from glyph-cli 0.3.0 (InterImm/glyph-cli#5).
