Removes the hg repos volume mount from the lexbox-api pod. Every repo filesystem operation HgService did directly now goes through hgresume's /api/manage (sillsdev/hgresume#24), authenticated with the shared X-Manage-Secret from the existing hgresume secret.
HgService
InitRepo, CopyRepo, DeleteRepoIfExists, BackupRepo, ResetRepo, FinishReset, SoftDeleteRepo, CleanupResetBackups, InvalidateDirCache and HasAbandonedTransactions call the manage endpoints. Status codes map back to the exceptions callers already expect (409 → AlreadyExistsException / InvalidOperationException, 404 → DirectoryNotFoundException, ZIP_MISSING_HG_FOLDER → ProjectResetException).
BackupRepo and HasAbandonedTransactions become async (IHgService, ProjectService, the sync proxy and the Project.hasAbandonedTransactions resolver updated; the schema just gains a @cost hint).
Manage calls use their own HttpClient with a 30 min timeout, since a reset upload or large copy can outlast the 100s default.
No more IHostedService layout creation (hgresume does it on startup), and the HgEmptyRepo template is gone (hgresume runs hg init).
FinishReset no longer waits for an expected empty/non-empty state: it can't know which without reading the repo, and hgresume writes through the same mount hgweb reads, so there's no cross-pod NFS lag to wait out. Init/reset/copy keep their waits.
Config / deployment
HgConfig.RepoPath → HgConfig.HgResumeManageSecret (dev appsettings uses the committed local-dev secret).
lexbox-api: repos volume, mount and RepoPath env removed; set-repo-structure-owner-to-www-data init container moved to the hg pod. The init-repos overlay keeps it ahead of populate-test-repos, which runs as www-data.
hgresume image: bumped to v2026-10-28, which includes sillsdev/hgresume#32. That PR fixed two manage API gaps this migration hit: the backup endpoint zipped synchronously into Kestrel's response body and came back as a 409, and FinishReset didn't strip an uploaded .hg/hgrc the way this service did.
The filesystem unit tests in HgServiceTests moved to hgresume (RepoManageServiceTests covers the same cases). Here they're replaced by HTTP-contract tests: secret header, conflict mapping, missing-.hg mapping, repo status.
Test plan
HgServiceTests pass locally (22/22)
api:check-gql-schema regenerated; kubectl kustomize render of staging/develop/production shows no repos mount on lexbox-api and the chown init container first on hg
CI integration tests (project create/reset/backup/copy, send/receive) against the manage API: dotnet 170 passed / 3 skipped, playwright green (on the pr-32 image, same code as v2026-10-28)
The lexbox-api pod no longer mounts the hg repos volume. Init, copy,
delete, backup, reset, finish-reset, soft-delete, cleanup, dir-cache
invalidation and the abandoned-transaction check now call hgresume's
/api/manage with the shared X-Manage-Secret. The repo-root chown init
container moves to the hg pod, ahead of populate-test-repos.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
LexBox now routes Mercurial repository operations through hgresume’s authenticated manage API instead of performing those operations on local repository directories. Backup and abandoned-transaction checks are asynchronous. Application settings, deployment resources, and the staging diagram reflect the manage API connection. Tests now cover HTTP responses for selected repository operations, and the GraphQL field has a cost directive.
Resolve the backup and retention-policy risks and replace the temporary production image before merging. A stalled repository-status check can also delay project migration.

Explanation
The title "Move HgService repo filesystem ops onto hgresume's manage API" matches the main change. The PR moves HgService's direct repository filesystem operations to hgresume's /api/manage endpoints and removes the repos volume mount from the lexbox-api pod. The title is short, specific, and a teammate scanning history would understand the primary change. The abbreviation "ops" is informal but clear.

Dispose response when EnsureSuccessStatusCode() throws in BackupRepo.
response is not wrapped in using. The 404 branch disposes it. The success path disposes it inside the returned executor. If hgresume returns another error status (for example 401 or 500), EnsureSuccessStatusCode() throws and response is never disposed. With ResponseHeadersRead, this keeps the connection open until finalization.
Dispose the response before the exception leaves the method.

Bound the streamed backup body copy.
ResponseHeadersRead completes the manage request after headers. The configured 30-minute HttpClient.Timeout does not apply to later content reads. The backup callback only uses RequestAborted, which cancels when the client disconnects but provides no server-side deadline. A connected client can therefore remain stuck when hgresume sends headers and stalls the ZIP body.
Add an explicit deadline around CopyToAsync.

## Servers
List the servers your key can reach, read one server's details, resource use and activity, and delete a server you own.
### List servers
GET`/`
Lists the servers the key's user owns or is a subuser of, 50 a page by default and at most 100. A key limited to some servers only lists those. The default includes `allocations` and `variables` are always present, and `egg` and `subusers` can be added with `include`. If the account can buy paid servers, `meta.pending_orders` lists paid servers that have been bought but do not exist yet.
Parameters
List servers: parameters
Name | Type | Description
--- | --- | ---
page | integer | The page of results to return, starting at 1.
per_page | integer | How many servers to return on each page. Values above 100 are treated as 100.
type | one of 'owner', 'admin', 'admin-all' | Which servers to list. data[].attributes.limits.threads required | string | null | The CPU cores the server is pinned to, e.g. `0-1,3`, or null for any.
data[].attributes.limits.oom_disabled required | boolean | Whether the out-of-memory killer is disabled for the server.
data[].attributes.invocation required | string | The startup command with variables filled in. Without `startup.read` the variable values are hidden.
data[].attributes.docker_image required | string |
data[].attributes.egg_features required | array of string | null | Panel features the server's egg turns on.
data[].attributes.feature_limits required | object |
data[].attributes.feature_limits.allocations required | integer | The most allocations (ports) the server may have.
data[].attributes.feature_limits.backups required | integer | The most backups the server may keep.
data[].attributes.status required | one of null, 'installing', 'install_failed', 'reinstall_failed', 'suspended', 'billing_suspended', 'restoring_backup', 'deleting' | What the server is doing, or null when it is installed and available. - `installing`: the install script is running. - `install_failed` / `reinstall_failed`: the install script failed. A server whose first install failed can still be reinstalled. - `suspended`: suspended by an administrator. - `billing_suspended`: paused because its subscription is unpaid. - `restoring_backup`: a backup is being restored. - `deleting`: deletion has been accepted and the node is removing it.
data[].attributes.is_paid required | boolean | Whether someone is currently paying for the server.
data[].attributes.is_suspended required | boolean | True when `status` is `suspended` or `billing_suspended`. Use `status`.
data[].attributes.is_installing required | boolean | True when `status` is `installing` or `install_failed`. Use `status`.
data[].attributes.is_transferring required | boolean | Whether the server is being moved to another node. Most endpoints answer 409 while it is.
data[].attributes.skip_scripts required | boolean | Whether the egg's install script is skipped for this server.
data[].attributes.relationships | object |
data[].attributes.relationships.allocations | object | The server's allocations.
### Get resource use of several servers
GET`/resources`
Returns the live resource use of up to 100 servers in one request, keyed by server UUID. A server is silently left out if you could not read it on its own, if it is suspended, installing, being transferred, restoring a backup, being deleted or on a node under maintenance, or if its node did not answer. Answers are cached for up to 20 seconds (3 seconds while a server is booting), so polling faster gains nothing.
Parameters
Get resource use of several servers: parameters
Name | Type | Description
--- | --- | ---
servers required | string | Comma-separated full server UUIDs (not 8-character identifiers). Duplicates are ignored and only the first 100 are used.
curl "https://sillydev.co.uk/panel/api/client/resources" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SILLYDEV_API_KEY" \
-H "Accept: application/json"
[Button: Copy]
Response 200 The usage of each server that could be read, keyed by UUID. When none could be read, `data` is an empty object.
### Get a server's resource use
GET`/servers/{server}/resources`
Returns the server's power state and current memory, CPU, disk and network use, as reported by its node. The answer is cached for up to 20 seconds (3 seconds while the server is booting); for a live feed use the websocket's `stats` events instead. Any server permission is enough to read it.
Parameters
Get a server's resource use: parameters
Name | Type | Description

server required | string | The server's 8-character identifier, as shown in the panel, or its full UUID.
curl "https://sillydev.co.uk/panel/api/client/servers/1a7ce997/resources" \

Keep the LexBox and hgresume cleanup ages in sync.
hgresume enforces Math.Max(ResetCleanupAgeDays, 5), but it reads its own HGRESUME_RESET_CLEANUP_AGE_DAYS setting. The LexBox request does not send HgConfig.ResetCleanupAgeDays. A non-default LexBox value can therefore be ignored, allowing earlier deletion than configured. Wire both settings to the same value, or make hgresume the sole owner and remove the duplicate LexBox setting.

Bound HasAbandonedTransactions to a short deadline.
Forward holds the project reader lock while it awaits HasAbandonedTransactions. The manage client supplies only its 30-minute timeout, and no outer request cancellation reaches this call. A stalled status request can therefore retain the lock for up to 30 minutes.
BeginSendReceive uses a reader lock, so concurrent Send/Receive readers are not blocked. The held lock can delay a writer such as migration. Use a short local deadline for this status request.

Update HasAbandonedTransactions to create a short local cancellation deadline
and pass its token to both SendManageRequest and ReadFromJsonAsync, so the
request and response parsing are bounded even when no outer cancellation token
is available.

Removes the hg repos volume mount from the lexbox-api pod. Every repo filesystem operation
HgServicedid directly now goes through hgresume's/api/manage(sillsdev/hgresume#24), authenticated with the sharedX-Manage-Secretfrom the existinghgresumesecret.HgService

Status codes map back to the exceptions callers already expect (409 →AlreadyExistsException/InvalidOperationException, 404 →DirectoryNotFoundException,ZIP_MISSING_HG_FOLDER→ProjectResetException).BackupRepoandHasAbandonedTransactionsbecome async (IHgService,ProjectService, the sync proxy and theProject.hasAbandonedTransactionsresolver updated; the schema just gains a@costhint).HttpClientwith a 30 min timeout, since a reset upload or large copy can outlast the 100s default.IHostedServicelayout creation (hgresume does it on startup), and theHgEmptyRepotemplate is gone (hgresume runshg init).FinishResetno longer waits for an expected empty/non-empty state: it can't know which without reading the repo, and hgresume writes through the same mount hgweb reads, so there's no cross-pod NFS lag to wait out. Init/reset/copy keep their waits.Config / deployment
HgConfig.RepoPath→HgConfig.HgResumeManageSecret(dev appsettings uses the committed local-dev secret).RepoPathenv removed;set-repo-structure-owner-to-www-datainit container moved to the hg pod. The init-repos overlay keeps it ahead ofpopulate-test-repos, which runs as www-data.hgresume image: bumped to
v2026-10-28, which includes sillsdev/hgresume#32. That PR fixed two manage API gaps this migration hit: the backup endpoint zipped synchronously into Kestrel's response body and came back as a 409, andFinishResetdidn't strip an uploaded.hg/hgrcthe way this service did.The filesystem unit tests in
HgServiceTestsmoved to hgresume (RepoManageServiceTestscovers the same cases). Here they're replaced by HTTP-contract tests: secret header, conflict mapping, missing-.hgmapping, repo status.Test plan
