Summary

Upgrade the telemetry SDK to @vscode/extension-telemetry v1.5.2 and update reporter initialization to use the new API.

Changes

  • Replace vscode-extension-telemetry with @vscode/extension-telemetry
  • Update reporter creation to use the new SDK API
  • Update the minimum supported VS Code version and @types/vscode to 1.75.0

Verification

Manually checked the telemetry behavior in VS Code using Developer: Show Telemetry, covering the settings related to #91:

  • When VS Code telemetry is enabled and partialDiff.enableTelemetry is on, a Partial Diff commandTriggered event is logged.
  • When VS Code telemetry is enabled and partialDiff.enableTelemetry is off, no Partial Diff-specific event is logged.
  • When telemetry.telemetryLevel is set to off, no event is logged regardless of the partialDiff.enableTelemetry setting.

Receipt by Application Insights has not been verified.
