Changes

Require Python 3.11 or newer for future releases.

Require Python 3.11 for both the template package and generated projects. Update generation-hook validation, both CI matrices, and the generated Read the Docs Python pin. Keep the existing default interpreter selection of Python 3.12.

Validation

just lint and just typing passed on Python 3.11. Tests: 4 passed, 1 CI-only test skipped. Generated projects with default settings and an explicit Python 3.11 selection built successfully; Python 3.14 generation succeeded and Python 3.10 was rejected. Generated metadata and CI matrices were checked. Template source and wheel builds passed.

Built wheel metadata was checked for Requires-Python: >=3.11.
