Full matrix with per-cell evidence: docs/FEATURE_MATRIX.md (also feature-matrix.html). Only device-tested behaviour is listed as working. Differences to the vendor stack for streamer authors: OPENIMP_BEYOND_VENDOR.md.
Legend: yes = device-tested, partial = known gaps, no = not available.
| Feature | T10 | T20 | T21 | T23 | T31 | T41 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| H.264 | yes | yes | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| H.265 | no hardware | no hardware | no hardware | no hardware | yes | yes |

(Short form; the table in Supported SoCs and Sensors has more rows. Check the full matrix for anything not listed here.)
- Reload and stop robustness: 10 stop/start and reload cycles per SoC without an oops.
- Smaller libimp (about 0.5-0.6 MB instead of 1.0-1.3 MB); more free video memory on T21; about 8 MB more free RAM on T10/T20.
- Controls and noise reduction that the vendor ignores act on T10/T20/T21; real motion detection on T20/T21/T30; HEVC on T31.
- Reference-frame sharing on T21/T23 (about 1.5 MB less video memory).
- T23: rare single Helix encode error (errno 5); no real WDR.
- T41: live flip, night column noise, short IVS gaps, OOM with three parallel streams at 30 MB rmem; day/night and AE/AWB quality untested.
- T10: image controls only partly documented.
- AEC only device-tested on T31; T30 and T40 not part of the device campaign.
