Problem

The CARLA demo at /car looked like a separate app inside moq.dev, and its map showed trucks driving over buildings.

Approach

  • Rename the page and components to carla, and update the demo link. /car now returns a 404, with no redirect.
  • Theme <moq-carla> with the site's slate and green through its CSS custom properties.
  • Remove the controls text from the page, since the player now shows it, and say the demo runs on a home desktop in San Francisco.
  • Bump moq to fix(carla): align the aerial map and let host pages theme the player moq#7784 for the aligned map, faster map loading, and embeddable player.

Before merging

The bump pulls in about 497 moq commits, including breaking network changes.

Checked in the dev server against cdn.moq.pro:

  • CARLA: desktop, phone width, and the vehicle view with live video.
  • Boy, Watch, Voice: pages load with no console errors. Voice wasn't started.
  • Publish: not verified. Locally it shows Failed to fetch because .env.development points its API at localhost:3000, so check it on staging.

just check and a production build pass. Not deployed.

Theme the player through its CSS custom properties, drop the controls text it
now shows itself, and say where the demo is hosted. Bump moq for the embedding
and aerial map fixes.

Walkthrough

The CARLA page now renders the Carla component, and the demo card links to /carla. The page removes vehicle-control instructions, changes the displayed location to a home desktop in San Francisco, and retains the offline-player statement. The component import and exported function use the Carla name. Theme variables were added for moq-carla, and the moq submodule reference was updated.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 67d77

The remaining confirmed issue is a small CARLA theme mismatch. The change is mergeable with that bounded visual follow-up; compatibility with the live relay has not been independently established.

These are pattern matches from a secret scanner, which cannot tell whether a value is an issued credential. Judge each from the value's shape and how the code uses it. A value that grants access should not be committed anywhere, including tests. A placeholder, generated value or documented dummy used only by tests, fixtures or examples is not a leak. A low-severity match sits in a test, fixture, example or documentation file, has a placeholder-like value, or was classified as a test, public or non-credential value; comment on it only when the code shows the value is an issued credential. Raise a credential once even when it appears in several places.

Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

The moq submodule now points to a revision described as containing breaking network changes. Its rebuilt clients may use a protocol incompatible with the deployed cdn.moq.pro service.

Affected players or publishers fail to connect or exchange media.

This can occur when: A site page built from the new revision connects to a CDN deployment that still expects the earlier protocol.
