This repository is the canonical home for organization-wide repository
maintenance guidance for mod-posh.
The documents in this repository are an initial 0.1 baseline. They are
approved for adoption, but a requirement is not an enforced CI check until its
implementation and required-check status have been verified separately.
This repository governs shared repository-maintenance concerns, including:
- repository layout and documentation contracts;
- repository profiles and lifecycle declarations;
- evidence and validation language;
- version and release-state distinctions;
- generated-documentation ownership;
- exceptions to the shared baseline.
This repository does not govern product architecture. Product architecture belongs to the owning repository and its accepted architecture decision records. A product may add stricter local requirements. A product that cannot meet this maintenance baseline records an explicit, time-bounded exception.
The organization .github repository remains the public storefront and home
for organization-wide community health files. It should link here rather than
duplicate these standards.
Commits and merges may prepare a release. Creating a tag and publishing to a production destination remain explicit human-approved actions unless a repository documents an approved release gate that is equally clear.
- Confirm the license for this documentation repository.
- Confirm repository owners and lifecycle classifications in the registry.
- Decide whether milestone closure is an approved manual release gate for each existing automated release workflow.
