I’m a software engineer who enjoys understanding how things work—and making them work better for the people around me.
That might mean building a backend feature, troubleshooting a service, speeding up a pipeline, or removing a frustrating manual step from someone’s day.
My path into software engineering started with more than a decade across infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, and technical operations, including service in the Navy.
Cyber range engineering brought those areas together and eventually led me into software development. That background still shapes how I approach problems: I like understanding the whole picture, from application behavior to the systems underneath it.
Today, I focus on backend development with Kotlin and Spring Boot, with React and TypeScript work along the way. I also work with the tools and infrastructure that help teams deploy, observe, and support their software.
| Area | Tools & technologies |
|---|---|
| Backend | Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, jOOQ |
| Frontend | TypeScript, React |
| Data & messaging | PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ |
| Infrastructure & delivery | Kubernetes, Docker, Argo CD, GitHub Actions |
| Observability & testing | Grafana, Testcontainers, Cypress |
| Scripting & automation | Python, Bash |
I tend to notice the things that slow a team down: repetitive setup, slow feedback, confusing documentation, or tools that take more effort than they should.
I enjoy figuring out how to improve those experiences. Small improvements to something developers use every day can make a meaningful difference across a team.
I also enjoy troubleshooting—following the clues across applications and infrastructure, understanding what happened, and making the next investigation easier.
I’m deepening my Kubernetes knowledge and exploring platform engineering, reliability, and developer experience.
I’m particularly interested in making useful tools and reliable workflows easier for other developers to adopt.
Less friction, faster feedback, and more time to focus on bigger problems.
Most of my day-to-day work happens on a separate work account. This profile is where I explore personal interests and keep learning.
