All notable changes to the `lua-agent-builder` plugin. Versions follow the tag `release-prod.yml` cuts from `package.json` (`v<version>`). lua-cli is a TypeScript SDK/CLI; it is unrelated to the Lua programming language.

## 1.17.1 — 2026-10-29

### Fixed (session mode only)

- `confirm-deploy`: `lua version promote <N>` in a build session now names `request_action` (`command: "version promote"`, `args: ["<N>"]`) instead of `request_release`. A promote puts the existing version N back live on one card with nothing rebuilt; routed to `request_release` it became a release of the session's files instead (LUA-1861). `RELEASE_LABELS` now holds only the verbs the platform runs as a release (`lua deploy`, the per-primitive deploys, `lua persona production deploy`, `lua workflows deploy`). The knowledge doc, `docs/BUILD_SESSION.md` and the vendored command note say the same.

## 1.17.0 — 2026-10-27

Two parts: **live build session mode** (from the `feat/lbs/plugin-session-mode` branch, which Lua session pods pinned while it was unmerged) and **the lua-cli 3.62.0 `lua test` / `lua push` / `lua compile` behaviour** in the builder's prompts (LUA-1855).

- **Release** = everything this session changed, as one approved unit: `stage_for_test` → `test_chat` (and `preview_webapp` for web apps) → `request_release {summary}`. The summary says in plain words what changes for the agent's users. The card shows the parts touched, the tests run and the risk. Nothing is live until the user approves. The platform then promotes with a compare-and-swap, publishes workflows, watches the first runs, and rolls the whole group back on failure.
- Workflows, web apps, persona and primitives all ship in the same release. There is no separate `lua workflows deploy`, `lua deploy webapp` or `lua deploy persona` in a session.
- **Rollback** of a live agent version: `request_action {agentId, command: "version promote", args: ["<N>"], reason: "roll back to v<N> because …"}`. The user approves it in Desktop, and the platform decides how it runs (a promote maps to its release flow, never a bare promote). Read `lua version list` first to pick `<N>`, and confirm with `lua version list` after the `<lua-action-result>` note arrives.
- **Rollback** of a live agent version: `request_action {agentId, command: "version promote", args: ["<N>"], reason: "roll back to v<N> because …"}`. The user approves one card in Desktop and version N goes back live as it is: nothing is rebuilt and the session's files do not change, so releasing from this session again ships the session's files, not version N. Read `lua version list` first to pick `<N>`, and confirm with `lua version list` after the `<lua-action-result>` note arrives.
