Why

OpenAI shipped GPT-6.1 Sol (gpt-6.1-sol). HumanLayer wants it as the new default Codex model.

What changed

  • BakedCatalog.ts: new openai/gpt-6.1-sol entry. It has the same limits as GPT-6 Sol and costs $2 input / $10 output / $0.10 cached input. Efforts run from low to max.
  • CompactionEngine.ts: the GPT-6 regex now matches dotted point releases (gpt-6.1-sol). Before this change the ID fell through to the 128k fallback. It now uses the 272k Codex window, so compaction starts at 223,616, and the TUI shows a 258,400 limit, the same as the other GPT-6 models.
  • The default Codex model is now gpt-6.1-sol:
    • DEFAULT_CODEX_MODEL_ID
    • the starter config's smart role
    • the config docs and help text
    • the TUI provider default and model sort
  • Tests: new cases for the catalog, binding resolution, compaction, model family, switching models, and the TUI context display. The default tests now expect the new model.

Release

After merge, tag v0.1.31 so synclayer can use it.

Add gpt-6.1-sol to the baked catalog, match dotted GPT-6 point releases
in the 272k Codex compaction window, and switch the Codex default in
fold-codex, config docs, and the TUI to gpt-6.1-sol.
