Final validation — Phase 1 + Phase 2
Verified the supplied finding against head 97d2c53. The new asset-lock API bypasses the wallet's mixing-only spending restriction because it signs without checking for a full unlock. Source tracing confirms the missing guard; git diff --check passed, but the reported runtime regression was not independently rerun.

In `src/wallet/interfaces.cpp`:
- [BLOCKING] src/wallet/interfaces.cpp:548: Require a full wallet unlock before creating asset locks
An encrypted wallet unlocked only for CoinJoin retains its master key while IsLocked() remains true. This method never checks that restriction: CreateTransaction funds the transaction without an unlock check, and CWallet::SignTransaction delegates to signing providers that can access the retained key. Consequently, a caller supplying a valid funding public key can obtain a signed asset lock and commit it while ordinary spending is supposed to remain locked. The adjacent signTransaction interface already enforces the required full-unlock check. Add the same check here under cs_wallet, before funding or signing, and cover fully locked, mixing-only, and fully unlocked states in the asset-lock regression test.

Re-review — Preliminary review — Phase 1 blocker gate
Verified the supplied finding against head 05902c7: the new asset-lock interface can sign a spend while the wallet is unlocked only for mixing. The prior blocker remains valid; the separate broadcast-error clearing fix is present. Verification was by source inspection; no runtime tests were run.
Validated blockers were found by the Phase-1 review and confirmed by a fresh verifier. Phase 2 is deferred until a fresh same-head revalidation clears the blocker gate.

In `src/wallet/interfaces.cpp`:
- [BLOCKING] src/wallet/interfaces.cpp:548: Require a full wallet unlock before creating asset locks
(existing thread: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/7763#discussion_r4128229078)
This interface funds a transaction with sign=false and then calls CWallet::SignTransaction without checking for a full wallet unlock. In a mixing-only unlock, CWallet::IsLocked() is true but IsLocked(true) is false and the master key remains available. CWallet::SignTransaction delegates directly to the script managers; the descriptor signing path obtains private keys through GetKeys(), which permits that mixing-only state, and the legacy path can likewise decrypt through WithEncryptionKey(). Consequently, this new API can return a signed asset-lock spend despite the user's mixing-only authorization. The sibling signTransaction interface explicitly rejects this state. Add the same IsLocked() check under cs_wallet before funding, and extend the asset-lock test to verify refusal while fully locked and mixing-only unlocked, with success after a full unlock.

Re-review — Final validation — Phase 1 + Phase 2
Independently reviewed the complete two-commit diff at a272944 and found no remaining in-scope defects in the compact-xpub/MAC, asset-lock creation, or broadcast-error changes. The prior mixing-only unlock bypass is fixed, with regression coverage for fully locked, mixing-only, and fully unlocked wallets. Local validation succeeded: the unit-test build, all 53 affected-suite cases with 1,006 assertions, the complete 1,058-case unit suite, and git diff --check; the worktree remains clean.

The full-unlock restriction is fixed, but the asset-lock API still accepts out-of-range positive amounts that can cause signed overflow during funding. This was a static review only; the supplied CI snapshot shows successful lint and multiple builds, with several build and test jobs still pending.

In `src/wallet/interfaces.cpp`:
- [BLOCKING] src/wallet/interfaces.cpp:478: Reject out-of-range credit amounts before funding
(existing thread: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/7763#discussion_r4242576511)
The MoneyRange guard described in your reply is absent at this head: this method rejects only nonpositive amounts, and the current create_asset_lock_transaction scenario contains no MAX_MONEY + 1 check. The replacement seed-derived funding-key API does not constrain credit_amount. With an eligible, fully unlocked wallet and ordinary coin-control settings, 5000000000000000000 duffs passes this guard and CreateTransaction's negative-only validation. The Platform builder preserves that amount in its single OP_RETURN recipient, so spend.cpp:921 passes it to GenerateChangeTarget before checking available funds. There, coinselection.cpp:556 evaluates payment_value * 2, overflowing signed CAmount and invoking undefined behavior. Restore an upper-bound check before funding and add a regression check that MAX_MONEY + 1 returns the amount-validation error rather than an insufficient-funds error.
interfaces::Wallet::createAssetLockTransaction builds, funds and signs a version 1 asset lock whose single P2PKH credit output pays the key the wallet derives for a typed funding key (registration, top-up or invitation), so the credits stay recoverable from the wallet's seed, and reports the fee it pays. Version 1 is the only payload version CheckAssetLockTx accepts before v24 and IsStandardSpecialTx relays after it. The seam goes through the asset-lock builder CreateTransactionInternal already uses for Platform recipients: CCoinControl gains m_asset_lock_version, which selects the payload version and defaults to CAssetLockPayload::CURRENT_VERSION, so sendtoaddress and every other existing caller build the same transaction and get the same error text as before. The seam requires a fully unlocked wallet: a wallet unlocked for mixing only is refused. CWallet::CommitTransaction returns an error when the transaction could not be broadcast, carrying the mempool's reason, and interfaces::Wallet::commitTransaction passes it on. The transaction stays committed to the wallet, so the caller can abandon it to release its inputs. With -walletbroadcast=0 nothing is offered to the mempool and the commit succeeds, as before. Existing callers ignore the result and behave as before. Committing a transaction the wallet holds abandoned, such as an identical retry of a refused send, first takes it back as not abandoned and spends its inputs again with ReconcileWalletUTXOs(), the transition the wallet already makes when an abandoned transaction re-enters the mempool; before, AddToWallet()'s state assertion aborted. Committing a transaction the wallet already holds as confirmed or in the mempool returns success without touching its state (it still records the commit's metadata, which it lacks if the wallet first saw it relayed or mined through another path), instead of downgrading it to inactive, which after the broadcast's already-known refusal would let the caller abandon it and release its spent inputs. A transaction the broadcast refuses because it is already in the chain (mined through another path before the wallet processed the block) is reported as committed, not rejected. The create_asset_lock_transaction case builds asset locks for a registration and a top-up funding key on a DIP0003-active regtest chain and checks that each pays its own derived key, that the reported fee is the fee the mempool charges, and that the lock passes CheckAssetLockTx on both sides of the v24 boundary; that a Platform recipient without a version selection still gets a version 2 payload; that commitTransaction accepts the lock and reports a conflicting second lock as rejected with its reason; and the zero, over-MAX_MONEY, locked, mixing-only and unlocked cases. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…able UnlockContext interfaces::Wallet::platformKeySourceStatus tells the GUI whether the wallet can derive Platform keys at all (a descriptor wallet with private keys and a single HD root) without deriving one, so it also answers while the wallet is locked, where getPlatformPubKey reports WALLET_LOCKED. interfaces::Wallet::rescanPrunedFrom returns the height a rescan from the birth of the wallet's first key would start at when this node has pruned blocks it would need to read, and nullopt when it has them all. startRescan(false) computes its start height through the same helper. WalletModel::UnlockContext becomes movable, so an unlock can be held across an asynchronous operation; the moved-from context no longer relocks, so the wallet relocks once, when its last owner goes away. Tests: platformKeySourceStatus rows in the ambiguous-source, child-xprv and legacy-wallet scenarios, and on a locked wallet in create_asset_lock_transaction; rescanPrunedFrom before and after pruning the oldest block file in scan_for_wallet_transactions; and WalletTests::unlockContextMove, which hands an unlock to a second owner and checks the wallet stays unlocked until that owner is gone. The new API can build an asset lock without change, leaving only its OP_RETURN output in vout; the P2PKH credit output lives in the payload. CCoinsViewCache::AddCoin excludes OP_RETURN outputs, so this transaction leaves no UTXO by which BroadcastTransaction or this fallback can recognize its confirmation. If it is mined through another path before the wallet processes the block notification, the wallet's confirmed-state fast path does not apply, and broadcasting returns bad-txns-inputs-missingorspent because its inputs have already been consumed. That nonempty error also skips this fallback, causing commitTransaction to report rejection even though the funding transaction is confirmed. This violates the new broadcast-outcome contract and can prompt an unnecessary funding retry. Resolve pending wallet confirmation state safely before returning rejection, or check confirmation independently of surviving UTXOs, and add regression coverage for a mined no-change asset lock whose wallet notification is pending.

Declining. The window is real but narrow, and the outcome is safe, so a dedicated fix would be defensive code without a user-visible payoff.
- Reachability. A transaction this wallet just built can be mined through another path only if it was already relayed. If the wallet still holds it as in the mempool or confirmed, the early return above handles it. What's left is one case: the transaction was relayed, then dropped from this node's mempool, and is recommitted in the milliseconds between the block connecting and the wallet processing that block's notification.
- Outcome.
commitTransactionreports a rejection and abandons the transaction. The queuedblockConnectednotification then runsSyncTransaction→AddToWalletwithTxStateConfirmed, which replaces the abandoned state and re-marks the inputs spent. No funds are lost and the wallet ends up correct. The only cost is a misleading error for that one attempt. A funding retry builds from the persisted funding record, and a confirmed lock is found once the wallet catches up. - Cost of a fix. No UTXO identifies a mined transaction whose only output is OP_RETURN. Telling "mined" apart from "inputs double-spent" would need a tx lookup or a wait on the validation queue while holding
cs_wallet. Neither is appropriate here, and neither the SDK's asset-lock flow nor the mobile wallets handle this race.

You're right about recovery: blockConnected → SyncTransaction → AddToWallet replaces the abandoned state with confirmation, and ReconcileWalletUTXOs removes the inputs from the spendable set again. CommitTransaction itself only returns the error; abandonment and a funding retry would be caller decisions, and I haven't established the duplicate-funding outcome I used to justify blocking. The transient misleading error is real, but I overstated its impact and am withdrawing this finding.

CWallet, or because a Core-only constraint applies:This PR adds those seams and nothing else. It contains no Rust and no
ENABLE_PLATFORM_GUI, so it can be reviewed and merged on its own.parentFingerprint || chainCode || pubKey, together with anaccountReferencederived from an HMAC keyed by our identity ENCRYPTION key. Three things were missing:FriendshipXpubhad no parent fingerprint; What was done?
Three commits.
feat(wallet): DIP-15 compact xpub and accountReference seamswallet::FriendshipXpubgainsparent_fingerprint. This is the BIP32 fingerprint of the key one step above the final 256-bit derivation, as rust-dashcore's key-wallet reports it.CompactXpubBytes()returns the 69-byte DIP-15 compact form.interfaces::Wallet::platformAccountReference(IdentityAuthKey, compact_xpub)returns the finishedaccountReference. It is HMAC-SHA256, keyed by the derived ENCRYPTION key, over the compact xpub. The result is masked as rs-platform-encryption'scalculate_account_referencedoes, using DashPay iOS's ASK28 reading (be32(mac[28..32]) >> 4), for account 0 and version 0, which is what iOS sends.feat(wallet): asset-lock creation and broadcast-error seams for DashPayinterfaces::Wallet::createAssetLockTransaction(amount, wallet::AssetLockFundingKey, coin_control, fee)builds, funds and signs a version 1 asset lock, and reports the fee it pays.CheckAssetLockTxaccepts before v24 and thatIsStandardSpecialTxrelays after it.CreateTransactionInternal's existing asset-lock builder for Platform recipients.CCoinControlgainsm_asset_lock_version.CAssetLockPayload::CURRENT_VERSIONis used, sosendtoaddressand every existing caller build the same transaction and get the same error text as before.CreateTransactionwould otherwise build and the mempool would refuse;MAX_MONEY, which coin selection would overflow when it doubles the payment;CWallet::CommitTransactionandinterfaces::Wallet::commitTransactionreturnutil::Result<void>. The error carries the mempool's reason when the transaction could not be broadcast. The transaction stays committed, so the caller can abandon it. Existing callers ignore the result.ReconcileWalletUTXOs(). That is the same transition the wallet already makes when an abandoned transaction re-enters the mempool. Before this change,AddToWallet()'s state assertion aborted.feat(wallet): Platform key eligibility, pruned-rescan start and a movable UnlockContextinterfaces::Wallet::platformKeySourceStatus()reports whether the wallet can derive Platform keys: a descriptor wallet with private keys and a single HD root. It does so without deriving a key, so it also answers while the wallet is locked.interfaces::Wallet::rescanPrunedFrom()returns the height that a rescan from the wallet's birth would start at, when this node has pruned blocks that rescan would need, andnulloptotherwise.startRescan(false)now computes its start height through the same helper.WalletModel::UnlockContextbecomes movable. The moved-from context no longer relocks, so the wallet relocks exactly once, when the last owner goes away.Everything is compiled unconditionally; no build option gates it.
The
CommitTransaction/commitTransactionhunks, including the un-abandon on recommit, are byte-identical to #7905 ("fix(qt): surface a mempool rejection from WalletModel::sendCoins"), which adds the GUI side and its tests. A trial merge in either order completes without conflicts and gives the same tree. How Has This Been Tested?

Once the oldest block file is pruned, it is0.test_dash-qt:WalletTests::unlockContextMovehands an unlock to a second owner. It checks that the wallet stays unlocked while that owner lives and relocks when it goes away. Each new check was confirmed to fail against a mutant of the code it covers.
