Add two preferences under "Show toolbar": the toolbar icon size (Small or Large) and the toolbar labels (None, Beside icon or Under icon). The original icons only exist in 16x16, so large icons use the Fluent toolbar icons of Notepad++ (light/toolbar/regular), which contain sizes from 16 to 96 pixels. Their sizes above 16 pixels are added to the toolbar actions only when large icons are selected, so small icons look exactly as before, including on high DPI screens where the larger sizes would otherwise be picked. They are added for both the on and off states, so checked actions also use them, and the macro recording action shows the stop icon while recording. Unknown values in the settings fall back to small icons without labels. Closes dail8859#560
