Animoni 🎬

A CLI anime tracking app with streaming support from kaido.to.

Features ✨

• Search anime directly from kaido.to
• Track your watchlist with status (watching, completed, on-hold, dropped, plan to watch)
• Watch episodes with mpv (resumes from last position automatically)
• Stats dashboard showing your watching statistics
• Progress saving across sessions

Prerequisites 📋

• Python 3.8+
• mpv (required for video playback)

Install mpv on:

• Arch: sudo pacman -S mpv
• Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt install mpv
• macOS: brew install mpv
• Windows: Download from mpv.io and add to PATH

Installation 🚀

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/animoni.git
cd animoni

2. Create a virtual environment

Linux/MacOS

python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate

Windows

venv\Scripts\activate

3. Install the package

pip install -e .

4. Run the app

animoni --help

Usage 📖

Search for anime

animoni search naruto

Add anime to your list

animoni add naruto
animoni add naruto --status watching --watched 5

List your anime

animoni list
animoni list --status watching

Watch anime

animoni watch                    # Resume last watched
animoni watch --anime naruto     # Watch specific anime
animoni watch -a naruto -e 10    # Watch episode 10
animoni watch -a naruto --lang dub

Update progress

animoni update naruto --watched 10
animoni update naruto --status completed

View anime info

animoni info naruto

View statistics

animoni stats

Remove from list

animoni remove naruto
