Computer scientist by training, with physics in mind, and psychology in the heart. I build apps, tools and datasets where code meets contemplation and the esoteric. Based in Ghent, Belgium, I'm running BLVCK STUDIOS while doing a masters in physics.

Main Sidequest: I'm formalising how i-Magi-nation (accessed Magick) impacts local reality, with many sidequests along the way. Most of what you'll find here is one of those sidequests.

Soon: I'm building a GBA / Nintendo DS Homebrew page from my teenage programming days.

Magic = Art × Science

Right now

  • Studying for a Master's in Physics at Ghent University, after a second bachelor's in Physics (Hasselt University, Magna Cum Laude, 2025).
  • Technical Manager at Gene Keys Publishing, where I was responsible for building the Gene Keys Profiler, Triple Flame App, Gene Keys App, and Star Pearl Dashboard, with interoperable enterprise architecture.
  • Other apps: AcuPresence, Meridian Clock
  • Releasing twelve apps in one October. Ten are live. Star Elector and Shem72 are in App Store review, aiming for Halloween.
  • Latest talk (Summer 2026): Drawing the Mark in Physics, Story, and Magick, at LoF26, Wolfson College, Cambridge. (summary and transcript)

Twelve apps, one October

My journey through

Years of research, writing and engineering, released in a single season. Most are free or free to try, and 95% of the copy is handwritten or dictated. Every app has a feedback button, and every message gets read.

QQuill, the four elements

QQuill Record keeping for magicians, mystery school students and geniuses. Air holds what you noticed, Fire what you intend, Water what you felt, Earth what you did, and the app reads across them for patterns. Early access.
QQuill mini The spiritual calculator for geniuses, magicians and neurodivergents. Four marks in one browser tab: no account, no server, nothing sent anywhere.
QQuill Trainer The four elements, trained from the marked and unmarked state of Laws of Form, scored by real mathematics.

Liber 777 and the Tree of Life

Open 777 Crowley's Liber 777, open source and fully searchable: 22 letters against about 100 columns, with a way into every path and sphere. Web, iOS and Android.
Rogue777 A first-person dungeon roguelike through the paths of the Tree of Life. Path 32 is open.
Descent777 A six-degrees-of-freedom flight through the same paths, in a Merkaba.

Magick in practice

Sigil Driver A sentence becomes a sigil. The sigil becomes a road. Then you drive it.
Ophiel's Oracle Ophiel's Oracle of Fortuna (1973) as playable solitaire. One question, one casting, one of three answers.
Star Elector Fixed-star elections, judged with precision. Arriving on Halloween.
Shem72 Scan the 72 Names. Draw down the Light. Arriving on Halloween.

Mathematics and important writing

Derivium Serious undergraduate physics derivations, step by step, as collapsible LaTeX proof trees.
Analytical Magick A calculus of distinction, consciousness and magical operation, derived from George Spencer-Brown's Laws of Form. A fair attempt to give conscious / belief-system acts a mathematical formalism, and reason from there.

Also on the shelf: Gnomon, a time companion that shows the I Ching hexagram and line the Sun and Moon occupy right now, on the phone, the wrist and a Pebble Time 2.

Open source

Datasets and engines

  • open_777: the Liber 777 reference dataset and viewer behind Open 777.
  • iching-wilhelm-dataset: the Wilhelm-Baynes I Ching as JSON and CSV, all 64 hexagrams with judgments, images and line-by-line commentary. Published so other people stop re-typing it.
  • free-human-design: a more than-good-enough Human Design and Gene Keys engine in pure JavaScript. Gates, lines, centres, channels, the full bodygraph and astrology, with no native build and no ephemeris files (but extensible)

Laws of Form

Local tools

  • quantum-talker: read anything aloud, dictate anywhere, transcribe voice memos. Kokoro voices out, NVIDIA Parakeet in, 100% on your machine. macOS, Windows, Linux.
  • latteprompter: a teleprompter for macOS that listens as you speak and keeps your place, fully on-device.

Physics

QQuill, Gnomon, Shem72, Star Elector and Derivium live in private repos. Their case studies are on blvckstudios.com/work.

Client work

  • Gene Keys (2022 to 2026). Six systems, one architect: the Gene Keys Profiler, the content database it reads from, the astronomical engine that generates its events, the mobile app, the warehouse that measures it all and the internal portals that translate and analyse it. Also the Triple Flame app with Richard Rudd, and the Seven Sacred Seals Mandala, a hundred pieces cast in bronze.
  • AcuPresence with Alaya DeNoyelles (2025 to 2026). 107 acupoints, reachable by symptom, category, point code or hexagram line, and an API that mixes any selection of them into one guided audio track.

I also take on app design and enterprise architecture. Begin a conversation.

How I build

Local-first and privacy-respecting by default: your data, your patterns, your insight. I architect for decades, with enterprise-grade foundations and the soul of an artist's studio.

TypeScript, React, React Native and Expo, Swift, Python and FastAPI, AWS.

Before this

Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science at Hasselt University (2013, 2015). Then six years at Valion as a data scientist and enterprise architect, for Johnson & Johnson, SWIFT, the Flemish Government and a handful of startups, with a long detour through blockchain: decentralised document verification for banks, insurers and governments. In 2020 I went back for physics, while starting a sidetrack in product development.

Alongside it, seven years of contemplation with the Gene Keys. I'm a Gene Keys Guide, a Gene Keys Enjoyer, and a Gene Keys Builder.
