The curriculum overview said "No programming experience? Start here. The curriculum assumes you know nothing about programming and teaches you everything step by step" — and then linked nowhere. A beginner reading that had no next step.

Change

The blurb now points at Java Basics for the minimum needed to start, and at a new Java track section for depth.

That section relists the two Java pages orphaned in #14:

Page What It Covers
Object-Oriented Programming Encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction
Intermediate Java Generics, lambdas, Optional, collections, streams, enums

Framed as optional depth that runs alongside the challenges, not a gate before them — the Java floor for the early challenges is genuinely small (read a variable, call a method), and making students finish a 778-line Java page first would stall the part that hooks them.

One sequencing note included: get comfortable with classes and objects before the Auto-stopping Collector challenge, which is the first time students author a class from scratch instead of filling in a method body.

Sidebar gains a matching "Java Track (optional depth)" group.

Verification

pnpm docs:build passes, and the #java-track anchor resolves in the rendered HTML (VitePress doesn't check anchors, so I checked that one by hand).

Note

These are still the LLM-written pages, unreviewed against current code. This change makes them reachable rather than endorsing their content — worth a review pass of their own.

The "No programming experience? Start here" blurb promised a step-by-step
path but linked nowhere. Java Basics (the wiki version) is deliberately
minimal, so the two deeper Java pages are now relisted as an optional Java
track rather than left orphaned.

Notes that classes and objects should be solid before the Auto-stopping
Collector challenge, which is the first time students author a class from
scratch.
