Summary

  • Update the vendored CA bundle from the Chromium root store.
  • Remove compromised emSign G3, C1, and C3 roots.
  • Preserve emSign Root CA - G1.
  • Bump the gem version to 3.6.2.

Security

This addresses CVE-2026-111943 and tracks SI-3057. The previous bundle trusted compromised eMudhra emSign roots.

Testing

  • BUNDLE_PATH=/private/tmp/active-utils-bundle bundle exec rake test
  • 96 runs, 181 assertions, 0 failures, 0 errors, 0 skips
  • git diff --check

The update keeps SSL_CERT_FILE support unchanged. Consumers can point the gem at the operating system CA bundle while this release removes the compromised roots from the vendored fallback.

Refresh the vendored certificate bundle while retaining emSign Root CA - G1 and removing the emSign C1, ECC C3, and compromised ECC G3 roots. The result matches the current Chromium Root Store trust decision.
