A second dictionary on the current copy, the language switch back in the bar, the choice guessed from the browser, kept in localStorage and mirrored on <html lang>. Position and department labels stay English (the shared vocabulary); the systems, years, languages and platforms labels come from the dictionary. Worker messages and the admin view stay English. Closes #6. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
German compounds ("Filmproduktionen") broke mid-word at phone width;
hyphens: auto with the page's lang lets the browser hyphenate first.

Not every browser carries a German hyphenation dictionary; the soft hyphen breaks the compound cleanly at phone width everywhere. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Parked, not abandoned: this branch holds the full page (the goal, the plan, the two forms, English and German). It is reused when the contribution phase starts, planned around the end of January 2027. Until then openclapper.org shows a short page: the project exists, one email field to be notified when it starts. |

* A short page until the contribution phase: the goal, one email field (#8) The full page (PR #7) is too early. openclapper.org now shows the logo, the goal, where the project stands (experimental; the contribution phase starts around the end of January 2027), one email field to get one mail when it starts, and the code link marked as experiments not meant to be used. English and German. Three layouts to pick from at /1, /2 and /3: a centred card, two columns, a poster band. The form posts to /api/notify: an email alone, stored on the waiting list as an updates-only row with an empty about-you block (years is nullable now), the same double opt-in; the confirmation mail says "OpenClapper updates". The full page's components stay in the tree, unused, for PR #7. Closes #8. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> * The short page: the card, with the owner's texts The card is the page; the other two layouts and their entries are gone. The goal is its own section in three sentences, "Where it stands" links the code on GitHub and names the alpha around January 2027, and the sign-up promises one mail when the alpha starts and nothing else. German follows in meaning. Closes #6.
A second dictionary (
de) on the current copy inapps/site/ui/src/copy.ts, typed againstenso no key can be missed; the language button is back in the bar; the choice is guessed from the browser, kept in localStorage and mirrored on<html lang>. The systems, years, languages and platforms labels now come from the dictionary instead of the vocabulary, so they translate; position and department labels stay English. Worker messages and the admin view stay English.docs/forms.mdand the project map updated.Verified:
make checkpasses; the German page checked in full at 1280px and at 320px, where nothing is wider than the viewport.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
