The book used the old hugo-interimm-template theme (Bulma, Hugo 0.68.3) as a submodule. Replace it with a few layouts in this repo that link the shared kit at interimm.org/kit/, like interimm.org and the other InterImm sites: the live interimm.org header and footer, paper-and-ink type, light/dark with the header switch. Pages get a table of contents from data/book.yml, previous/next links and edit links; the home page lists the chapters. A page shows an intro film when static/videos/<page>.mp4 exists. Deploy builds with Hugo 0.135.0 on ubuntu-latest; dead Google Analytics ID and unused menus removed. Storyboards in videos/ for 起航, 火星移民 and 推进技术, rendered by videos/render.sh into static/videos/ (silent 720p mp4 of 0.5 to 0.8 MB plus a poster). Each page shows its film above the text. Storyboards for the remaining 23 pages and the home page, rendered with videos/render.sh (12 MB in all, 0.2 to 0.8 MB each). Changelog notes the new layout and films. Before: book.interimm.org used the old Bulma theme (a submodule of hugo-interimm-template), built with Hugo 0.68.3 on a macOS runner, and looked nothing like interimm.org.
After: the book looks like interimm.org. It links the shared kit at interimm.org/kit/, so it gets the live interimm.org header (with 档案馆 marked), the footer, the signal line, paper-and-ink type, and light/dark with the header switch. Each page has the book's table of contents on the left (from data/book.yml), the text at reading width, previous/next links and edit/feedback links. The home page lists the nine chapters. On phones the contents move below the text.
Every chapter page and the home page (26 in all) opens with a short silent Bauhaus film made with praxinoscope: 15 to 45 s each, 0.2 to 0.8 MB, 12 MB in total, 720p mp4 with a poster. A film loops muted, has a pause button, and stays still when the visitor asks for reduced motion. Each film's claims come from its chapter. Storyboards are in

The deploy runs Hugo 0.135.0 extended on ubuntu-latest with current actions and keeps the book.interimm.org CNAME. $$...$$on one page) loads MathJax only where it is used. The English home button now points to the one English page instead of a missing /en/intro. Content is unchanged apart from a changelog entry. Works with or without the kit's dark mode switch in InterImm/interimm.github.io#59.Not changed: the repository is still about 1 GB because one 54 MB GIF is in its history three times; removing that needs a history rewrite, which is a separate decision.
