Opening the repository through the workspace gives VS Code a single root at the repository's top, and a place for settings the whole project shares rather than each contributor's own. It holds none yet.
commands/New-Release.ps1 holds a candidate to the release rules, signs its tag in the project's clone and pushes main and the tag in one atomic push, resuming a release that stopped partway.
The release command reads the release workflow and the changelog at the candidate's commit with git show, so it runs the same whichever tar a shell puts first on the path.
