Adds the official Firecrawl plugin as plugins/firecrawl, in the native Factory plugin format, with a marketplace entry ("source": "./plugins/firecrawl") and a README section under Available Plugins.

What it gives Droid users. Firecrawl is a web data API for agents. The plugin connects Droid to Firecrawl's full hosted MCP server, so the agent can search the web, scrape pages into clean Markdown or structured data, map and crawl sites, interact with dynamic pages, parse local documents, monitor pages for changes, call Alexandria data providers, and search developer docs and repositories, US government sources, and scientific papers. It bundles two skills:

  • firecrawl: picks the right operation for a request, with one reference file per area (site collection, browser interaction, documents, monitoring, structured data, developer research, paper research, feedback);
  • firecrawl-deep-research: multi-source investigations that end in a cited answer, report or table.

Contents of plugins/firecrawl

  • .factory-plugin/plugin.json (version 0.4.0, MIT)
  • mcp.json with one HTTP server, https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp-oauth. It uses OAuth, authenticated from /mcp, so there is no API key in the file.
  • skills/ with the two skills above
  • README.md and LICENSE (MIT)

There are no hooks, commands, droids or scripts.

Checks I ran. With this branch added as a local marketplace, droid plugin install firecrawl@factory-plugins --scope user (Droid 0.242.0) succeeds, and the installed copy contains the manifest, mcp.json and both skills with their references. marketplace.json parses and lists 9 plugins. An unauthenticated POST https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp-oauth returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate: Bearer resource_metadata=... header, which is what an OAuth MCP client expects.

Not checked. I did not complete the browser sign-in inside Droid.

I work at Firecrawl. Support: hello@firecrawl.dev.
