.github/workflows/docker.yaml runs every 6 hours, on push to main, and manually. It:
- Looks up the newest
vX.Y.Ztag ofnetboxcommunity/netboxon Docker Hub and builds on it without cache, so it also gets the latest plugin releases. - Writes a
manifest.txt: NetBox version, every package the plugins added, and hashes of the build files. - Stops if that matches the
manifest.txtof the latest GitHub release. - Otherwise pushes the image under the next version and creates a GitHub release with the manifest attached.
To force a rebuild, delete the latest release and run the workflow.
- If a new NetBox release isn't supported by a plugin yet, the build fails at
collectstaticand nothing is released until the plugin catches up. - Base image rebuilds that keep the same NetBox version (e.g. OS security fixes) don't trigger a release on their own.
- GitHub disables scheduled workflows after 60 days without commits. Re-enable it in the Actions tab.
