The public website of the Educates project: what Educates is, who it is for, and everything the project publishes about it.
Content: Anything the Educates project publishes for its audience: blog posts, getting started guides, about pages, videos and talks, wherever they are hosted. Avoid: Blog (when meaning all content), resources, articles
Featured Content: The hand-picked subset of Content that the site promotes on its homepage, drawn from any kind of Content. Avoid: Highlights, featured posts (Featured Content is not limited to posts)
Learn page: The one page that lists Content of every kind, filterable by kind and Topic, with Featured Content pinned at the top. The blog's own list is a separate, posts-only view. Avoid: Content hub, resources page, resource center, library, learning center
Topic: A curated subject used to filter the Learn page, defined as a set of blog tags. Content carries tags; a Topic groups them. Avoid: Tag (when meaning the curated filter), category
Blog post: A dated, authored article published on the site's blog. One kind of Content. Avoid: Article, news
Feature: A capability of Educates that someone can see and use, such as the workshop terminal or clickable actions, grouped by the job it serves: authoring, delivering or operating workshops. Avoid: Benefit, value claim (such as "Secure by Design")
Use case: A job a team does with Educates, presented on its own page of the site. A use case combines several Features; it is not a Feature itself. Avoid: Solution
Educates Hub: The project's public catalog of workshops, and of the extension packages and policies that go with them, which people deploy on their own Educates installation. It is not a place to run workshops. "The Hub" for short. Avoid: EducatesHub, marketplace, hub in lower case
Demo Platform: A company's own system for giving its field teams one-click access to curated demos and workshops of its products, with Educates as its core. Educates is the core, not the whole platform. Educates is ready to use as it is for an internal Demo Platform; a public-facing one adds its own front end and integrations on top. Avoid: Demo environment (Educates already uses "workshop environment" for something else), sandbox platform
Session: One isolated copy of a workshop, given to a single Presenter or Attendee, which can be prepared ahead of time so it starts instantly. Avoid: Sandbox, demo environment, instance
Demo: A workshop that a Presenter delivers to Attendees. A way of delivering a workshop, not a separate kind of thing. Avoid: Demo workshop (redundant), showcase
Hands-on event: A one-off event with a set time and known Attendees, such as a conference workshop, a customer workshop or a booth, where each Attendee works in their own Session. Avoid: Product demo (blurs it with Demo)
Sponsor: The person who funds a company's use of Educates for demos, typically the head of sales engineering or field enablement. Not someone who funds the Educates project itself: the site calls that "supporting the project". Avoid: Buyer, customer
Builder: The team inside a company that builds and runs that company's demos and workshops on Educates, typically a platform or DevRel team. Avoid: Admin, operator (when meaning the whole team)
Presenter: The sales or solutions engineer who launches a demo in front of Attendees. Avoid: Instructor, SE
Attendee: A person at a demo or event who watches or takes part in a workshop. Avoid: Audience (that word means the site's readers), learner, user
